The traditional festival is held annually by the Bukhara region hokimiyat (city administration), the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development, the regional administration of the Hunarmand Association (handicrafts) and other ministries and departments in order to preserve the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and develop folk crafts such as gold embroidery, hand weaving, fine art and another.

The festival program includes performances of national  folklore ensembles from the country’s regions, national games, master classes, tasting of Uzbek pilaf at the “Palov Sayli” , fashion shows from young designers of Uzbekistan. The atmosphere of an oriental tale will always recreate a colorful process that will take guests of the festival thousands of years ago, when caravans filled with silk and spices were passing from China to Europe, passing through mountain passes and hot deserts, they stopped in flowering oases like Bukhara.
