Uzbekistan has long been famous as a state located on the Great Silk Road – connecting West and East. Main types of transport in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan Airways National Company operates flights to more than 40 cities of the world and the geography of flights is constantly expanding. Uzbekistan Airways offers trips around Uzbekistan on comfortable Boeing 757/767/787 and A320. There are flights from Tashkent to Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench, Termez, Andijan, Namangan, Karshi, Fergana, Navoi and Nukus are carried out to all tourist centers of the country. Bus routes connect mainly all major cities within the republic. In addition to city buses, there are intercity, mini-buses, and fixed-route taxis in the country.

Tashkent Metro (Underground)
Tashkent metro is the only one in Central Asia. Currently, there are 3 metro lines: the Uzbekistan line, the Chilanzar line and the Yunus-Abad line. You can use the metro daily from 06:00 to 00:00.
Payment for ride is made with plastic tokens. (they are sold at the ticket office of the metro).
Since 1993, Uzbekistan Railways has been a member of the Organization of the Commonwealth of Railways (OSJD) and has close ties with the International Union of Railways (UIC) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Uzbek railways have a universal fleet of passenger trains that operate daily between such cities as Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench, Nukus and others.

For the convenience of tourists, electric cars began to run in the largest tourist centers of Uzbekistan. This type of environmentally friendly transport has already been appreciated by guests of Shakhrisabz, Bukhara and Samarkand.
Currently, 6 electric cars move in Samarkand on the route Tiger Alley – Bibi Khanym Madrasah, 4 modern electric vehicles make flights along the historical part of Shakhrisabz. The route includes the Ak-Saray, Dorut Tilovat, Dorus Saodat complexes (about 4 km long). Each electric car is designed for fourteen places.
