Romitan is one of the oldest cities in the Bukhara oasis, located 25 km from Bukhara. Archaeological evidence suggests that the settlement on the territory of modern Romitan was founded even before the Arab invasion.

The exposition of the local history museum tells about the rich history and culture of the region. Here is the richest archaeological and ethnographic material that characterizes the life, customs, beliefs of the peoples of the oasis.
