The memorial “Kuk-Tunli Ota” is located on the territory of 2.4 hectares 5 km from the regional center Zaamin on the side of the mountain road – Zaamin-Bakhmal.

According to legend, in the 12th century, a khan of the people of the village of Kangli was buried here by the nickname – Kuk-tunli ota (Elder, dressed in blue chapan). The name of the elder is mentioned in the annals of Abulgosi Bakhodirkhan – “Shazharai tarokim”.

According to custom, a ritual ceremony of the harvest year is held here every year – the elders ask the elder for a good harvest. According to local beliefs, “If you plant a seedling of a tree or a seed in this land with faith in your soul, it will surely rise!”
