Uzbekistan has a two-level banking system. The first level is occupied by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which regulates all other banks of the country, licenses are issued and revoked, the issue of money is controlled and the stability of the national currency is ensured. The second level is given to commercial banks and other credit institutions.
