MALA festival of national souvenirs will be held in Uzbekistan
Tomorrow, October 28, 2021, the National Souvenirs festival will start in all regions of Uzbekistan.
The festival is organized according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for the further development of domestic and pilgrimage tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan" dated February 9, 2021
Within the framework of the festival, exhibitions, fairs, contests, master classes of artisans are planned, accompanied by performances of folklore and ethnographic groups and dance groups.
The opening and closing ceremonies of the festival will take place at the State Museum of the History of Applied Arts and Crafts of Uzbekistan in Tashkent.
According to the information provided by the press service of the Cultural Heritage Agency, the festival is held to promote the accelerated development of domestic and foreign tourism, wide promotion of the cultural and historical heritage of our country among compatriots and foreign guests.
The festival is intended to make a worthy contribution to the ongoing efforts to strengthen the image of our country as a safe place for travel and recreation.
It is also worth noting that with the establishment of trade in national products created by local artisans, visitors to museums and cultural heritage sites of the republic will directly promote these products.
And this, in turn, will contribute to the sustainable socio-economic development of the regions, ensuring the employment of artisans and their material and moral support.
According to the results of the festival, prizes in the nomination "Best Souvenir" for each region will be determined, the winners will be announced at the closing ceremony of the festival in Tashkent.
