Ideal land for sport tourism
Those who like to practice sport in the fresh air and away from the big cities are welcomed Uzbekistan. The mild climate allows you to practice most sports almost all year round. For classic winter sports, there are four well-equipped mountain resorts: Chimgan, Beldersay, Amirsoy and Yangiabad. Their number is growing.
Uzbekistan offers numerous opportunities for extreme sports due to its vast and diverse landscapes, although these sports are still new in the country. These include:
– extreme skiing, snowboard;
– motorcycle racing, rallying, motocross;
– skateboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, canyoning and paragliding.
The country's vast mountainous regions are particularly attractive.
Mountain tourism in Uzbekistan is a small, but actively developing industry. It is a hiking on foot through beautiful mountain scenery, climbing, visit to the rock caves, the winter sport of skiing in one of four modern holiday complexes, tours to the ancient mountain fortresses of the Achemenids times (VI-IV centuries BC) and Alexander the Great (IV century BC), and the rock paintings that are many thousands of years old. These are breathtaking panoramic views of mountain heights from 3000 to 4000 meters. This is a retreat in remote traditional mountain villages with warm and hospitable inhabitants. This is a unique flora, endemic and rare endangered animals, beautiful waterfalls, mountain lakes and raging mountain rivers.
