On September 13, 2025, historic Bukhara — its minarets and squares, ancient madrasahs brought to life in an instant together with thousands of participants — turned into a breathtaking spectacle of the "Bukhara Night Race", organized by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan!

"Bukhara Night Race" began with an event that combined blogging, sports, and environmental care! The participants not only covered the distance but also contributed to making the city cleaner and more comfortable.
This event has been an integral part of the "Samarkand Marathon" series for several years and has attracted the attention not only of runners but also of city residents!

As part of the "Bukhara Night Race" program, young runners were welcomed! Hundreds of children took to the start, and for them, this was the first official stage, the first medal, the first applause, and the pride of their parents.

The main races of the competition were held at distances of 5, 10, and 21.1 km and gathered participants not only from various regions but also from abroad!

The fact that it coincided with the first Bukhara Biennale gave the competition a special spirit. The race route, passing through the historical center of the city, became an exhibition space where caravanserais, madrasas, and ancient architectural monuments harmoniously combined with the athletes' footsteps. Thus, sport and culture merged into a single rhythm on the streets of Bukhara!

The "Bukhara Night Race" competition concluded with an evening musical program.
