An agreement on strategic cooperation was signed between the Tashkent branch of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) and the Kazakh National Academy of Arts after Temirbek Zhurgenov. The agreement has reached after the visit of the Director of the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan Firdavs Abdukhalikov of the XVI International Film Festival “Eurasia” (“Eurasia International Film festival") in Alma-ata, Kazakhstan.
Based on this document, it is planned to create an alliance within the framework of creative higher educational institutions of Central Asia and develop a network of regional cooperation and art education.
For reference, the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts is one of the best educational institutions of region and has the status of a “national university” on the basis of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 5, 2001, and the first university in the country accepted as a member of the Conference of Rectors of European Universities (CRE).
