The Khorezm region is famous not only for its historical monuments, but also for the most beautiful natural places. In the lower reaches of the Amu Darya, in the northern part of the Turan plain, there is an ancient delta of the Amu Darya, which occupies part of the left bank and a small part of the Kyzylkum on the right bank. Along the banks of the river, you can see strips of a unique type of coastal vegetation-tugai forest. The Tugai forest is an important habitat for rare plants, birds, and wild animals. There are ecotourism routes on the territory of the park.

WHERE DO THE ECOROUTES GO?

On the territory of the Khorezm National Nature park the ecotouristic routes were opened, they situated on the four directions along historic and nature landmarks of the Khorezm region. The main routes run in the downstream of the Amu Darya, in the northern part of the Turan plain.

WHAT TO SEE?

The total area of the park is 21 thousand hectares.

The park has a unique, untouched nature, namely a dense Tugai forest located along the banks of the Amu Darya river. In addition, the geological and historical object "Uch Uchok" ("Three Furnaces") is located on the territory of the park. It was formed as a result of the fall of a large meteorite and has an unusual landscape.

HOW TO GET TO?

You can get to the Nature Park by yourself, by taxi or by specially organized bus routes from Urgench.

WHERE TO STAY?

On the territory of the park there are some touristic ecozones: "Boltaboy Aksakal", "Valiko plus" and "Karakum" farms in the Khiva district, they are located on the shore of the natural reservoir "Eshonrovot".

In the Yangiarik district there is a recreation area "Ulli Shorkul" ("Khorezm Sea") with water area. In Bagat district there is an ecotourism farm "QALAJIQQAL'A OASIS ECOTURISM", and in the Urgench district there is a beautiful ecozone "Urganch El tur".

THINGS TO DO?

In the territories of the ecozones, camel and horse rides, safari tours on quad bikes in protected areas are organized to the most beautiful sandy or Tugai places. You will be able to settle in a Yurt along the river bank, equip a summer kitchen for cooking national Khorezm dishes from freshly caught fish. There are also campsites, rental of motor and mechanical boats, scooters, and catamarans. In the Hojalik farm the sanatorium "Kaladjik Oromgohi" is located, there was created a nursery for breeding of rare animals.
