The international broadcasters Euronews, BBC, and CNN have launched video segments about the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, featuring Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley.
In the film series “Echoes of Enlightenment,” he presents to the world the great geniuses of our country — al-Khwarizmi, al-Biruni, Ibn Sina, Mirzo Ulugbek, Alisher Navoi, and Amir Temur. The legendary actor, who portrayed Mahatma Gandhi, Ibn Sina, as well as Nizam in “Prince of Persia,” has become the voice of the great heritage of the East.
This video will serve as a preface to a larger series of films dedicated to the great thinkers and scholars of the East, their scientific legacy, and the ideas that have made an invaluable contribution to the development of global culture, philosophy, and science.
As the project continues, other world-renowned actors and artists are expected to participate. This will help bring to audiences worldwide the unique pages of Islamic civilization that took shape on the territory of modern Uzbekistan.
