On August 11, 2022, in the Bustanlik district of the Tashkent region, on the territory of the all-season Amirsoy Resort, the International Festival of National Dishes “Welcome to Bustanlik” was held for the first time.
More than 9.5 thousand guests took part in the festival, including representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Belarus, the media, as well as residents and guests from many regions of Uzbekistan.
The event featured national dishes from 22 districts and cities of the Tashkent region, including traditional Uzbek pilaf, sukok kebab, ethnic dish kala-pocha, naryn, khasyp, mampar, tandoor kabob, samsa and many others.
Following the results of the festival, the Award Ceremony was held, where participants from all districts of the Tashkent region were awarded certificates and valuable prizes. Also in the nomination "Masters of Uzbek pilaf" were awarded citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, who prepared a traditional national dish for the guests of the festival.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Khokimiyat of the Tashkent region. Also, the National PR-Centre, the Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Tashkent region with the support of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the all-season Amirsoy Resort and other organizations took part in organizing the event.
The first International Festival of National Dishes “Welcome to Bustanlik” served as a good platform for the development and promotion of gastronomic tourism in the region and strengthening cooperation between entrepreneurs in the field of public catering.
