Today, on April 27 of this year, a seminar on the topic “Tourist brand of Uzbekistan” was held in the office of the State Unitary Enterprise “National PR-Centre” under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The seminar was held for the employees of the National PR Center in order to study modern opportunities in the field of promoting the tourism potential of Uzbekistan abroad. The speaker of the seminar was the head of Commercial Services for BBC World News in Eurasia, General Producer of Dars films studio - Sergey Stanovkin.

At the seminar, Sergey Stanovkin spoke about the importance of PR and branding for promoting tourism in Uzbekistan around the world. The head of the BBC's Eurasian office shared his valuable insights on how to effectively market the country's unique cultural heritage and scenic beauty to attract tourists from around the world. He emphasized the need for a strategic approach towards promoting the country and creating a positive image in the minds of potential visitors.

The main goal of the seminar is to train the staff of the PR-Centre with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively promote Uzbekistan as a must-visit destination for travelers from all over the world.

Today, Uzbekistan is promoting a tourism brand in different countries and on all continents. PR-campaigns, where the country's tourist brand is being promoted, are carried out in three directions. The first circle is the countries of the post-Soviet space. These states are given special attention for three reasons: the flight time to Uzbekistan is no more than five hours, the proximity of the cuisine, and most importantly, there is practically no language barrier. Next come the countries of the Middle East - Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, etc. Here, the tourist is close to ziyorat tourism and all types of pilgrimage tourism. And, finally, the third group is the closest neighbors from the Central Asian republics, as well as the countries of Asia and Europe.

For information:

On March 9, 2023, a videoconference was held in Tashkent chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dedicated to increasing the tourism potential of the republic. In particular, at the meeting it was instructed to intensify the PR promotion of the regions to attract foreign tourists.

Today's event was an important step towards building a strong global identity for Uzbekistan as a tourist destination. Participants received valuable insights into branding strategies that can be used to promote the travel and tourism industry in Uzbekistan.

Recall that in 2022, the National PR-Centre, together with the largest media corporation in the world BBC, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, conducted a large-scale advertising campaign to promote the tourist brand of Uzbekistan on the channels of the largest British medical corporation. Among them are the international TV channel BBC World News and the digital resources of the media corporation BBC, as well as the website www.bbc.com, where a series of articles and videos about the exciting tourist attractions of our country were published.
