Day-by-day titles

  • Day 1: Khiva - Ichan-Qala (UNESCO heritage)
  • Day 2: Khiva & Urgench - Nurullaboy and Ulli Khovli
  • Day 3: Bagat (Kalajik) - fortress and healing lake

DAY 1 - Urgench -> Khiva (Ichan-Qala)

  • 09:00-09:45 - Meet and welcome guests at Urgench International Airport.
  • 09:45-10:50 - Breakfast (location to be confirmed): "Vanilla" restaurant (+998 91 427-11-77) or "Caramel" cafe (+998 99 564 66 44).
  • 10:50-11:30 - Transfer from Urgench to Khiva, to the "Ichan-Qala" State Museum-Reserve.
  • 11:30-11:40 - Entry to "Ichan-Qala" and short introduction.
  • 11:40-11:50 - Square in front of the Father Gate (Ota Darvoza): meeting translators, overview of "Ichan-Qala" and the "Great Silk Road Caravan" sculpture composition.
  • 13:00-13:10 - Handicraft shop near the "Muhammad Amin Khan" madrasa: information about the Khorezm national headdress "Chogirma".
  • 13:10-13:25 - "Muhammad Amin Khan" madrasa and minaret: historical overview.
  • 13:25-13:35 - Folklore performances at the square near the "Matniyoz Devonbegi" madrasa.
  • 13:35-14:45 - Lunch (Khiva).
  • 14:45-14:55 - Polvankari trading house (brief story along the route).
  • 15:00-15:10 - Treasury (historical overview).
  • 15:10-15:25 - "Kunya Ark" palace: mint interior, Khorezm coin collection, summer mosque, archaeological sites, khan’s treasury, and museum exhibitions.
  • 15:25-15:40 - "Kunya Ark" square: bread-baking process and master class; history of the square and the well.
  • 15:40-15:55 - Muhammad Rakhimkhan "Feruz" II madrasa: museum exhibition on the history of Khorezm khans.
  • 15:55-16:10 - Polvankari trading house: exhibition on the history of the White Mosque Mennonites.
  • 16:10-16:20 - Mausoleum of Syed Olovuddin: background and visit.
  • 16:20-16:30 - Square near the "Feruz" II madrasa: camel story and photo session.
  • 16:30-16:45 - Qazi Kalon madrasa: exhibition on the history of Khorezm music.
  • 16:45-17:00 - Square near Qazi Kalon: sculpture composition dedicated to Khorezm folk music; photo session.
  • 17:00-17:10 - "Khojash Mahram" madrasa: woodcarving workshop and master class.
  • 17:10-17:30 - "Yakubboy Khoja" madrasa: silk carpet weavers’ workshop and master class.
  • 17:30-17:50 - "Shergazikhan" madrasa: exhibition on the history of the madrasa and medicine.
  • 17:50-18:30 - "Pahlavon Mahmud" mausoleum: introduction and visit.
  • 18:30-18:50 - "Jome" Mosque: history, interior, and architecture.
  • 18:50-19:10 - "Muhammad Amin Inoq" madrasa: "Majlisi Ulamo" exposition (history of the Khorezm Ma'mun Academy).
  • 19:10-19:30 - "Tashkhovli" palace: exhibitions on Khorezm crafts history and the "Khan harem interior".
  • 19:30-21:00 - Dinner (Khiva).

DAY 2 - Khiva and Urgench

  • 09:30-12:30 - "Nurullaboy" complex: history of the khan’s summer residence.
  • 13:00-14:00 - Lunch (Khiva).
  • 14:00-14:30 - Transfer to Urgench.
  • 14:30-18:00 - "Ulli Khovli" complex: a medieval historical-cultural site reflecting the blend of Uzbek and Turkmen culture.
  • 19:30-21:00 - Dinner (Khiva).

DAY 3 - Bagat District (Kalajik) -> Urgench

  • 09:30-18:00 - Kalajik Castle: an ecotourism complex with a natural healing lake in Bagat district (lunch 13:00-14:00).
  • 19:00-20:00 - Dinner (Urgench).
  • 22:00 - Departure from Urgench.
