The Kok-Gumbaz Mosque, which means “blue dome”, is the largest mosque in the territory of Shakhrisabz.
The mosque was built in the XV century under the rule of the Timurid dynasty. The famous blue dome, intricate mosaics and a spacious prayer hall make it a revered symbol of Uzbekistan's rich cultural and architectural heritage.
Visitors can explore the stunning courtyard of the mosque, decorated with colorful tile mosaics, and admire the rich interior inside the prayer hall.
