For many years, Uzbekistan has been a magnet for travelers from around the world, including passionate travel enthusiasts and influential content creators who inspire millions of followers with their unique videos and photography. From 5 to 9 June this year, a group of bloggers and influencers from South Korea visited Uzbekistan.
The visit was organised with the support of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Over the course of four days, the creative team explored some of the most remarkable attractions in Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent. In Bukhara, the guests were captivated by the grandeur of the ancient Chor Minor and Bolo Hauz mosques, the Ark Fortress, and the Chashma Ayub and Ismail Samani mausoleums.
In Samarkand, the visitors explored the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, the Imam Bukhari Memorial Complex and the Ulugh Beg Observatory. They then embarked on a classic tour of the city’s historic centre, discovering the iconic Registan Square, Bibi-Khanym Mosque, Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum and the mausoleum of Khoja Daniyar.
Inspired by the panoramic views along the way, the bloggers travelled to the capital aboard the high-speed Afrosiyob train.
In Tashkent, following a hearty breakfast at Mercure Tashkent North Hotel, the guests immersed themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the Islamic world in Central Asia by visiting the renowned Centre of Islamic Civilisation in Uzbekistan and the Hazrati Imam architectural complex.
Authentic Uzbek traditions and the country’s distinctive gastronomy also held a special place in the visitors’ travel diaries. These experiences allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage and discover the unique character and vibrant traditions that make the country such a remarkable destination.
