For over 14 centuries, Islamic traditions have played a significant role in Uzbek culture. 

The main Muslim holidays are Eid al-Fitr (Uraza Bayram) and Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bayram). During these sacred days, families prepare traditional dishes, visit relatives and elders, help those in need, give charity, and remember the deceased.
