CNMuynak hosted the International Gastronomic Festival "99 Aral Fish Dishes"
On September 29 and 30, the international gastronomic festival "99 Aral Fish Dishes " was held in the city of Muynak. It was attended by specialists in fish dishes, professional chefs from all regions of our country, districts and cities of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
Muynak is located on the territory of Karakalpakstan, so it borrows most of the dishes from the local cuisine, but not much in its own way. The main dish is fish, as it is still possible to fish near the city, and thanks to the harsh weather that has settled there, fish is the most affordable and delicious dish.
The gastronomic festival “99 Aral Fish Dishes”, which has been held since 2018, is one of the most prestigious events in the region. This event not only promotes national cuisine, but also attracts local and foreign tourists to other tourist destinations in the region.
During the event, after the opening ceremony, master classes of local chefs on cooking fish dishes, competitions between chefs, exhibitions of local masters, performances by national pop and folklore performers, a concert program of the national dance ensemble, as well as an award ceremony for the winners of the competition were organized.
The purpose of the gastronomic festival "99 Aral Fish Dishes " is to widely promote the potential of gastronomic tourism, which is unique for Karakalpakstan, in particular the Muynak region, and further increase the number of local and foreign tourists visiting this region.
