Regular flights from Ferghana to Sokh district have been launched in Uzbekistan

Since December 12, the private airline “Humo Air” has launched regular flights on the route Ferghana-Sokh-Ferghana, according to the website of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan According to the Ministry, regular flights for passenger transportation in this direction at the initial stage will be carried out 2 times a week on AN-2 aircrafts.Flights will be operated on Monday and Friday: at 10:00 in the direction of Ferghana-Sokh and at 12:00 on the route Sokh-Ferghana. The flight duration will be continued 30 minutes.Passengers can purchase air tickets at the airports of Ferghana, Andijan and Namangan, as well as in the buildings of the Sokh district administration.

Recall that Sokh is an exclave of Uzbekistan on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. Previously, our citizens reached this area by crossing the border twice.In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for the integrated socio-economic development of the Sokh district of the Ferghana region in 2020-2021”, adopted in August 2020, a new airport was built in Sokh district.

We are confident that these measures will serve to strengthen friendly good-neighborly relations between the two countries.
