Russian journalists will get acquainted with the tourism potential of Uzbekistan

The Embassy of our country in Russia is organizing a large-scale introductory press tour to Uzbekistan for Russian journalists and bloggers from September 18 to 23.

Among the participants in the info tour are representatives of Russia's leading media, including journalists from MIA "Russia Today", IA "TASS", "Rossiyskaya Gazeta", "Izvestia", "Arguments and Facts", "Komsomolskaya Pravda", correspondents from the radio station "Moscow FM" and the Internet portal of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), which will visit the tourist pearls of Uzbekistan - the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara.

In Samarkand, they will get acquainted with the sights of the city - Registan Square, the mausoleum of Amir Temur, the Bibi-Khanum Mosque, the Ulugbek Observatory, the Shahi Zinda necropolis, and will visit the Siab market and the Meros paper factory, where paper is made by hand using ancient Samarkand technologies and traditions.

In Bukhara, Russian media correspondents will visit the Ark citadel, the architectural ensembles of Poi-Kalon, Lyabi-Khauz and Kosh Madrasah, the Magoki-Attori and Kalyan mosques, the Miri-Arab madrasah, visit ancient markets, and also visit the summer residence of the Bukhara emirs.

The introductory tour program also includes an introduction to Uzbek gastronomy, including dinners in the best authentic restaurants and culinary master classes.

In addition to the educational excursion and gastronomic program, business meetings with representatives of tourism administrations and the tourism industry of Samarkand and Bukhara are also planned as part of the trip.
