"The Afrosiab high-speed train has made trips to the historical cities of Uzbekistan more popular: the trip from Tashkent to Samarkand takes just over two hours at a speed of up to 250 km/h. For the convenience of passengers, the train offers amenities such as tea, coffee, soft drinks and dried fruits," the authors write.
It is noted that in 2023, the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) named Samarkand the world tourism capital, which made it one of the most popular destinations. Registan Square, located in the heart of Samarkand, is recommended by the authors to be visited by everyone who travels in Central Asia.

To his left is the Ulugbek Madrasah, and to his right is the Sherdor Madrasah. Madrasas were built at different times, the first madrasah of Ulugbek was built in the early 15th century," the square is described.
It is reported that Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim recently visited Samarkand, in particular the mausoleum of Imam Al-Bukhari, the great Muslim theologian of the East and author of a reliable collection of hadith.
