Today, the International Forum of Young Entrepreneurs IDEA was held at the Hayat Regency Tashkent Hotel in the capital of Uzbekistan. The forum was held within the framework of the Council of Turkic-speaking States.
In October 2019, at the 7th summit of the Council of Turkic-speaking States, held in Baku by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, within the framework of permanent cooperation of the Council members in the field of youth policy, a proposal was put forward to hold the first International Forum of Young Entrepreneurs in order to create new opportunities and a sustainable business environment for young businessmen.
The International Forum in Tashkent was opened by Deputy Prime-Minister for Investments and Foreign Economic Affairs - Minister of Investments Sardor Umurzakov
"Young people make up almost 60 percent of the population of the republic, and timely investments in its potential and development will certainly ensure a stable and prosperous future for us.
On June 27, 2018, the President signed a Decree "On the State Program" Yoshlar-kelajagimiz "("Youth is our future"). Its implementation will ensure the employment of young people by supporting their business initiatives, startups, ideas and projects. It is planned to train unemployed young people in popular specialties and business skills, as well as increase the socio-economic activity of young men and women. In general, within the framework of the State Program, loans in the amount of more than 1 trillion 635 billion soums have been allocated for the implementation of business projects of young entrepreneurs, about 40 thousand jobs have been created on this basis." - Sardor Umurzakov noted in his speech.
Foreign guests also took part in the opening of the forum: Chairman of the Turkic Council Bagdad Amreyev, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farid Gaipov, Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Ballayeva, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Kasapoglu and many others.
The distinguished guests noted the importance of this forum for the development and strengthening of cooperation of the Council of Turkic-speaking States at such a level and expressed the hope that this event will become a good platform for the exchange of ideas, in cooperation between young entrepreneurs of the Council member countries and a serious help for the implementation of business projects in various sectors of the economy.
After the opening of the forum, the guests and participants were divided into 4 sections on various sectors of the economy: agribusiness and agricultural industry, IT Startup, light industry, tourism and marketing.
In each of the sections, reports of domestic and foreign experts in each of the fields were listened to and active discussions were held, where participants exchanged their ideas and business projects in various sectors of the economy.
We visited the tourism and marketing section. The section was moderated by the director of the State Unitary Enterprise "National PR Center" Dilfuza Samandarova and the chairman of the Association of Marketers of Uzbekistan Dier Mirzaakhmedov.
According to experts, the two fields, tourism and marketing have now become inseparable from each other industries.
Representatives of tourism and companies and the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic made speeches in the begining of the section. The guests told about the tourism potential of their Republic and about the possibilities of creating joint tours between the two countries. Representatives of Leo Burnett Azerbaijan promotion company also made an interesting presentation. Representatives of the company expressed great interest in implementing joint projects with Uzbek companies.
Among the foreign guests, Aişe Şener, a leading specialist of BGA - tourism and educational consulting company in the Republic of Turkey, made an interesting report. Aişe told about her company and the opportunities for cooperation with Uzbek companies in the field of tourism and marketing.
The leading specialists of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic spoke in detail about the regulation of the tourism sector in Uzbekistan and the state's support for entrepreneurship in the tourism industry, in particular during the pandemic.
Uzbekistan pays special attention to the development of entrepreneurship, in particular, to support startups in the field of tourism during the pandemic.
Thus, in July 2020, a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to create favorable conditions for the development and rehabilitation of the tourism sector in the Republic of Uzbekistan" was issued, where, in particular, a list of recommended projects and startups in the tourism sector was highlighted.
"In order to encourage business entities, today, in particular, more than 86 business entities have been opened in 2021, these are tour operators and travel agents, today their number consists of 1,432 companies, 78% of them are young companies. In particular, a grant of 10 million soums was allocated for 41 companies. 65 million soums were allocated to 13 independent guides. 10 million soums were allocated to tour operators and 5 million soums were allocated to guides to promote their services." - the leading specialist of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic Fakhriddin Zoirov told in his report.
At the end of the sections, the participants exchanged proposals and contacts for further joint cooperation.
