The summer MEDIACAMP has opened in the Bostanlyk district

August, 16, a new media camp for young journalists and students of media universities opened in Bostanlyk district.

The MEDIACAMP was organized with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the University of Journalism and Mass Communications and the Youth Affairs Agency of Uzbekistan in the camps "Khodjikent" and "Youth Agency" in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region.

The MEDIACAMP summer camp is organized with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports events, studying the role and importance of travel journalism for the further development of tourism in Uzbekistan, as well as demonstrating the tourist potential of the Bostanlyk district.

Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov spoke at the opening ceremony of the summer media camp.

"The main goal of the travel journalism studies is to train professional journalists who are able to attract tourists by objectively covering the tourist image of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the world mass media, who have the skills to work in the process of globalization, Aziz Abdukhakimov noted during his speech. "From this point of view our cooperation with the University of Journalism and Mass Communications, as well as the MEDIACAMP project being held today, is very important and relevant."

Addressing future journalists, the Minister of Tourism and Sports noted that the role of students in shaping the image of Uzbekistan in the future, covering reforms and news is incredibly great.

Separately, it was noted about the organization of a joint media camp of students of the Silk Road International University of Tourism, as well as about financial incentives for students of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications, authors of the best articles about the tourist potential of the Bostanlyk district.

Within the framework of the MEDIACAMP project, it is planned to hold various seminars and trainings on the development of tourism, sports, issues of preserving cultural heritage, cinema and mass communications.
