Today, on July 23, at 16:00 by Tashkent time, the Opening Ceremony of the XXXII Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo-2020 will take place.
Recall that this year the International Olympic Committee has retained the name Tokyo-2020 for marketing purposes.
The opening ceremony of the Summer Games will be held at the National Stadium in Tokyo. Due to restrictive measures, the audience will not be allowed to attend the opening ceremony. 950 diplomats, sponsors and members of the Olympic Committee are expected to attend the stadium. The heads of 15 states and international organizations will watch live ceremony from the stadium.
The opening ceremony, which will begin at 16:00 Tashkent time, will be broadcast lively on the SPORT TV channel.
All sanitary and epidemiological measures will be taken during the official parade of athletes and members of delegations. All participants will have to wear masks and maintain a social distance.
The social distance to the stadium is 2 meters, inside the stadium - 1 meter. Persons with a body temperature above 37.5 are not allowed to enter the stadium. This year, the alphabetical output of countries was canceled. The parade will begin with the Greek delegation and will end with the host country of Japan. According to the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek delegation will be the 25th at the opening ceremony of the games.
