There are a few days left until the XXIV Winter Olympic games, that will be held from the 4th till the 20th in Beijing. Uzbekistan in the Olympics in Beijing will be represented by the one and only athlete- skier Komiljon Tukhtaev.
Currently, the athlete is in China where the Olympic village is located. Our athletes will be performing on February 13th in giant slalom and on February 16th in slalom.
On January 29th, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhkimov held an online conference with an Uzbek athlete. Deputy Minister inquired about the athletes’ health and the process of preparing for the upcoming competitions, and wished good luck to the athletes on the upcoming winter Olympics and also noted that he is primary supported by the president, relatives and relatives of the athletes, as well as multi-million compatriots who also expect the highest result from them.

Komiljon Tukhtaev himself noted the constant support from the respected President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the National Olympic Committee, the Ski Federation of Uzbekistan.
The athlete also confirmed that he is a witness to the special attention from the state in the active promotion and development of winter sports and is very proud of this fact.
For this part, Komiljon Tukhtaev promised to make every effort to win and to please our country and to please many of the million uzbek sports fans.
