“Tourist mahalla” opens in Rishtan district

The Tourism Committee has officially granted the status of “Tourist mahalla” to the Mamadali Topvoldiev mahalla in the Rishtan district of the Fergana region.

The official ceremony was attended by representatives of the Tourism Committee, the leadership of the “Hunarmand” association, regional and district hokimiyats, members of the public, and media. Saad Al-Qaddumi, President of the World Crafts Council, was invited as a guest of honor.

Speakers at the event emphasized the special attention being given to the tourism sector in Uzbekistan, the ongoing reforms aimed at developing tourism infrastructure, and the potential for increasing the economic appeal and attractiveness of regions through the creation of tourist mahallas.

Guests had the opportunity to explore the “Travel around Uzbekistan!” domestic tourism fair and a handicraft exhibition held within the Tourist Mahalla. Visitors were especially impressed by the display of national traditions and values.
