To widely promote the tourism potential of the Jizzakh region, the “Sumalak Sayli” festival was organized in the tourist village of Ukhum in the Forish district.
The festival was attended by local and international tourists, as well as members of the public. During the event, exhibitions of national handicrafts, examples of traditional folk applied arts, suzani items, and embroidery were presented. Performances by the folk folklore-ethnographic ensemble “Bogdon Gullari,” along with cultural and entertainment programs, left unforgettable impressions on the participants.
Special attention was drawn to demonstrations of national traditions, customs, and ancient dishes, allowing guests to become more closely acquainted with the rich culture of the Uzbek people.
As part of the event, an info tour was also organized with the participation of major tour operators and travel agencies to promote the region’s tourism opportunities and increase the flow of local and foreign tourists.
