The iconic flower festival in Namangan city starts from May 23 to May 31, 2022. To date, active preparations for the upcoming festival are in full swing in Namangan region.
Traditionally, the festival will open with a large-scale parade of cars decorated with various floral arrangements by local master florists.
During the festival various program will take place. Such as the Fergana Valley designers’, fashion show as a part of the Fashion Week in the region, shows and concert programs of young performers of the region and national pop stars. As well as performances of national ensembles of makomists, dance ensembles, concert programs of the regional music and Drama Theater, demonstrations of young athletes, ropewalkers shows, and master classes from recognized masters’ parasports will take place.
In the “Valley of Legends” Park in Namangan city of flowers, festival guests will enjoy grandiose open-air concert programs prepared by students of specialized art schools of the region, regional ensembles of art of "Makom".
In addition, at the end of the festival, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the Flower Festival and a grand gala concert with the participation of Russian pop stars and famous masters of the arts of the Fergana Valley will take place in the Valley of Legends Park.
Recall that on August 4, 2021, the Presidential Decree "On the further development of floriculture and nursery in the regions of the republic" was issued. Within the framework of the decree, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection and the Khokimiyat of Namangan region, approved a program of measures for holding an International Flower Festival annually in April-May.
The Namangan Flower Festival has been held since 1961 and is a grandiose event for every Uzbek, reflecting the wealth of available plants and flower culture.
Last year, guests from foreign countries from South Korea, Russia, Turkey, the Netherlands and neighboring countries, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan were invited to the 60th anniversary flower Festival.
The event was attended by 150 entrepreneurs-florists, as well as more than 300 amateur flower growers, where for the first time in the history of the festival, the planting of 10 million flowers of seedlings was organized.
