Day-by-day titles

• Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent and city sightseeing
• Day 2: Tashkent -> Samarkand (Afrosiyob train) and city tour
• Day 3: Samarkand - museum and Konigil village
• Day 4: Samarkand -> Bukhara (Rabati Malik stop) and Old Bukhara
• Day 5: Bukhara - Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa and Bakhouddin Naqshbandi complex

Day 1 - Arrival in Tashkent

Arrive in Tashkent. You will be met by an Advantour driver and transferred to the hotel. Check-in at 14:00.

Meet your guide to start sightseeing in the capital of Uzbekistan (Old City).

• Khast-Imom Complex (site of the famous Quran of Caliph Uthman): Barak-Khan Madrasah, Tilla Sheikh Mosque, Mausoleum of Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi, and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari.
• Chor-Su Bazaar.
• Applied Arts Museum.
• Navoi Theater.
• Amir Timur Square (end of the city tour).

Lunch break: 13:00-14:00. Sightseeing duration: 5-6 hours. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 - Tashkent -> Samarkand

06:45 transfer to the railway station. High-speed train 'Afrosiyob' departs at 08:00 and arrives in Samarkand at 10:10 (300 km).

Meet your guide and driver and begin the Samarkand city tour.

• Sights viewed from inside: Registan Square, remains of Bibi Khanum Mosque, Siyob Bazaar, Gur Emir Mausoleum (yard entry possible; some rooms may be closed).
• Sights viewed from outside: Ulugbek Observatory, Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis.

Lunch break: 13:00-14:00. Sightseeing duration: 6-7 hours. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 - Samarkand

Continue sightseeing.

• Inside: Afrasiab Museum.
• Drive to Koni Ghil village to explore the traditional process of making Samarkand paper from mulberry.
• Outside: the Tomb of Saint Daniel.

After the tour, enjoy free time with a car and driver at your disposal. Lunch break: 13:00-14:00. Sightseeing duration: 3-4 hours. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 - Samarkand -> Bukhara

Morning departure to Bukhara (280 km, about 4 hours). Stop en route at Rabati-Malik Caravanserai.

Arrive in Bukhara and check in. Spend the afternoon in Old Bukhara (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

• Viewed from inside: trade domes, Ark Fortress (entry possible except the mosque), Chashma-Ayub mausoleum.
• Viewed from outside: Magoki-Attori Mosque, Chor-Minor Madrasah, Ulugbek madrasah, Abdulazizkhan madrasah, Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque, Miri-Arab Madrasah, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, Ismail Samani mausoleum.

Lunch break: 13:00-14:00. Sightseeing duration: 3-4 hours. Note: travel by vans/buses can be about one hour longer on average. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 - Bukhara

Discover Bukhara and its surroundings:

• Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa, the summer residence of Bukhara's last emir (yard entry possible; some rooms may be closed).
• Mausoleum of Bakhouddin Naqshbandi (entry possible).

Enjoy free time in the afternoon. Lunch break: 13:00-14:00. Sightseeing duration: 5-6 hours. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 - Bukhara -> Khiva

Morning drive to Khiva (480 km, 7-8 hours) through the Kyzylkum Desert. Stop to enjoy desert and Amudarya River views.

Arrive in Khiva late afternoon, check in and rest.

Recommendation: prepare lunch-boxes for this trip. Some parts of the road may be under renovation.

Lunch break: 13:00-14:00. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 - Khiva -> Urgench -> Tashkent

Check-out till noon. Visit Ichan-Kala Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

• Viewed from inside: Mukhammad Rahimkhan Madrasah, Toshkhovli Palace, Madrasah of Islam-Khoja, Kunya-Ark Citadel.
• Viewed from outside: Mukhammad Amin Khan Madrasah, Kalta Minor, Juma Mosque, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, Madrasah of Mukhammad Amin Inak, Islom Khodja Minaret (the highest minaret in Uzbekistan).

Free time in the afternoon. In the evening, transfer to Urgench airport (30 km, 45 min) for the flight to Tashkent (1 h 40 min). Transfer to hotel upon arrival. Overnight at the hotel.

Lunch break: 13:00-14:00. Sightseeing duration: 5 hours.

Day 8 - Tashkent - Departure

Check-out at noon. Free time until transfer to Tashkent International Airport. Departure. End of the tour.
