Yesterday, on August 17, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the city of Jeddah as part of a state visit to Saudi Arabia. According to the press service of the President, during the meetings of the heads of both countries, issues of further expansion of mutually beneficial ties in the political, trade, economic, tourism, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed. One of the important steps in this direction was the introduction of a visa-free regime, for a period of 30 days, entry into Uzbekistan for citizens of Saudi Arabia. It is worth noting that the visa-free regime will be introduced from January 1, 2023, which will be valid if the arriving citizens of Saudi Arabia provide return air tickets to their own or a third country.

Recall that a visa-free regime is also valid for tourists from 90 countries and a simplified system for issuing an electronic visa for citizens of 57 countries.
