Day-by-day titles

  • Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent and city sightseeing
  • Day 2: Tashkent -> Bukhara (flight) and Old Bukhara walking tour
  • Day 3: Bukhara -> Samarkand (Afrosiyob) – Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa and Naqshbandi complex
  • Day 4: Samarkand – Registan, Bibi Khanum, Siyob and key sights
  • Day 5: Samarkand -> Tashkent (Afrosiyob) – Afrasiab Museum, Saint Daniel, Konigil
  • Day 6: Departure from Tashkent

DAY 1 — Tashkent: arrival & city tour

Arrive in Tashkent. You will be met by an Advantour driver and transferred to the hotel. Check-in at 14:00.

Meet your guide to start sightseeing in the Old City area:

  • Khast-Imom Complex (site of the famous Quran of Caliph Uthman): Barak-Khan Madrasah, Tilla Sheikh Mosque, Mausoleum of Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi, and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari.
  • Chor-Su Bazaar.
  • Applied Arts Museum.
  • Navoi Theater.
  • Amir Timur Square (end of the city tour).

Lunch break: 13:00–14:00. Sightseeing duration: 5–6 hours. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2 — Tashkent -> Bukhara

Morning transfer to the domestic airport for the flight to Bukhara (570 km, 40 min). Upon arrival you will be met by an Advantour driver and transferred to the hotel. Check-in from 14:00.

Walking sightseeing tour in the historic center of Bukhara (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Sights viewed from inside:

  • Lyabi Hauz Ensemble (enter from the path near Lyabi House restaurant).
  • Trade domes.
  • Ark Fortress (entry possible except the mosque inside the Ark).
  • Chashma-Ayub mausoleum.

Sights viewed from outside:

  • Magoki-Attori Mosque.
  • Chor-Minor Madrasah.
  • Ulugbek madrasah.
  • Abdulazizkhan madrasah.
  • Kalyan Minaret.
  • Kalyan Mosque.
  • Miri-Arab Madrasah.
  • Bolo-Khauz Mosque.
  • Ismail Samani mausoleum.

Enjoy free time in Old City. Overnight at the hotel. Lunch break: 13:00–14:00. Sightseeing duration: 6–7 hours.

DAY 3 — Bukhara -> Samarkand (Afrosiyob)

Check-out and visit sights outside the city:

  • Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa, the summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir (yard entry possible; some rooms may be closed).
  • Mausoleum of Bakhouddin Naqshbandi (entry possible).

14:00 transfer to the train station. Afrosiyob train departs at 15:52 and arrives in Samarkand at 17:25 (270 km). Transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Lunch break: 13:00–14:00. Sightseeing duration: 4–5 hours.

DAY 4 — Samarkand

Meet your guide and driver and start sightseeing.

Sights viewed from inside:

  • Registan Square.
  • Remains of Bibi Khanum Mosque.
  • Siyob Bazaar.

Sights viewed from outside:

  • Ulugbek Observatory.
  • Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis.
  • Gur Emir Mausoleum (yard entry possible; some rooms may be closed).

Overnight at the hotel. Lunch break: 13:00–14:00. Sightseeing duration: 6–7 hours.

DAY 5 — Samarkand -> Tashkent (Afrosiyob)

Check-out till noon. Continue sightseeing:

  • Afrasiab Museum (entry possible).
  • The Tomb of Saint Daniel (viewed from outside).
  • Drive to Koni Ghil village to explore the traditional process of making Samarkand paper from mulberry (entry possible).

Enjoy free time with a car and driver at your disposal after the tour.

16:00 transfer to the railway station. Afrosiyob train departs to Tashkent at 17:00 and arrives at 19:10 (300 km). Pick-up and transfer to hotel/private residence. End of the tour.

Lunch break: 13:00–14:00. Sightseeing duration: 3–4 hours.

DAY 6 — Tashkent: departure

Check-out at noon. Free time until transfer to Tashkent International Airport. Departure. End of the tour.
