On April 30 of this year, during a ceremony, the villages of “Kumushkon” and “Chashma”, located in the Parkent district of the Tashkent region, were officially awarded the status of “Tourist Village”.
It was attended by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shadiev, the khokim of the Parkent district Sardor Isokulov, the leaders of the villages “Kumushkon” and “Chashma”, active citizens, and media representatives.
“Kumushkon” and “Chashma” attract tourists with their unique nature, clean air, everyday life, cultural heritage sites and shrines located here. Last year, about 50 thousand foreign and 900 thousand local tourists visited the Parkent district. Based on the tourism potential of the mahalla and the positive conclusion of the Republican Commission, the Committee on Tourism decided to assign the status of “tourist village” to the “Kumushkon” and “Chashma” mahallas,” said Umid Shadiev.
