The modern pace of life implies constant movement, it is vital for us to have time everywhere and stay up to date with all events. Of course, there is very little time for cooking at home, and not everyone can afford to have dinner in expensive restaurants. And then "street food" or fast food comes to the rescue.

Many perceive fast food as something harmful and unsafe. Undoubtedly, in the classical sense, fast food can not bring any benefit, and may even harm in the form of excess weight. What can not be said about Uzbek fast food.

Uzbek street food goes deep into the past, when such trading cities as Andijan, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khorezm were the largest stops for merchants of the Great Silk Road. Travelers and merchants stopped to rest and sell their goods. Large bazaars were growing and it was possible to eat quickly there. Yes, it is to eat - fully and tasty.

The traditions of such food are still preserved. Uzbek bazaars are extremely colorful. Counters and catering outlets fascinate and attract bright dishes. Here you can always taste hot pilaf, exquisite naryn, fragrant lagman, and Uzbek flatbreads are a real treat. Separately, it is worth highlighting dishes that you can take with you and eat "on the go". The street food listed below is a 100% option to eat tasty and satisfying.

Samsa is an integral part of the traditions of Uzbekistan. It cannot be said about it that it is just a flour product stuffed with meat or vegetables, it is a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation. Everyone loves samsa and cooks it everywhere. There is a large selection of very different samsa at the bazaar: with different shapes, fillings and baking methods.

2. Gumma

Gumma is the most delicious offal pies. Most often there are fried, but at home they are baked.  They are usually served with tomato sauce, lightly peppered.

3. Khanum

Khanum is a flour dish, very similar to manti. The main highlight of Khanum is the finest dough and juicy filling. It happens, as a rule, from potatoes, but it can also be meat. At the bazaar, Khanum is poured on top with a delicious sauce made of tomato paste and butter.

4. Non-kabob

Non-kabob is food for real men. Delicious stewed meat with onions, sauce and spices is added to the special bread from tandoor.  The most fragrant dish gives strength and energizes.
