MAL9 new museums will be established in Uzbekistan
On behalf of the President of Uzbekistan, 9 new museums will be established, 7 of which will be located in "Museum Square" in Samarkand.
The activities of the "museum square" will be established by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Cultural Heritage Agency under it, together with the departments of Samarkand, Ferghana, Khorezm regions, as well as interested ministries and departments.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov, the exhibition "The Great Silk Road - the golden heritage of Uzbekistan and China", the exhibition "Samarkand - the contact of cultures of the regions of Uzbekistan and Russia", the Museum "Classicism", the Museum historical photographs, the Jewelery Museum, art exhibition halls, museums of traditional costumes.
In addition, it is planned to open the Museum of Modern Art in the city of Kokand, and the Museum of Lyazgi in the city of Urgench, as a branch of the Museum of Modern Art of Uzbekistan.
The creation of the "museum square" will allow to fully present the rich historical and cultural heritage contained in the country's museum collections.
