February, 1 this year, in the building of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, a presentation of a project for the integrated development of tourist areas of the Bostanlyk region was held.
Currently, the Directorate of the TRZ “Charvak”, together with the mayor of the Bostanlyk district and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, is carrying out large-scale work on the integrated development of the tourism region.
The presentation was attended by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov, Deputy Directors of the Directorate of TRZ "Charvak" Aziz Nagayev, Suna Park, Mansur Rakhmatullayev, architect Bobir Klichev, media representatives and public figures.
Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abduhakimov opened the event:
“Bostanlyk district has high tourism, recreational and natural potential, the proper development of which entails a number of significant socio-economic, environmental and investment transformations. The head of state and the government pay special attention to the Bostanlyk region, in particular, to its sustainable development.”
As the Deputy Prime Minister noted, the President adopted relevant documents, in particular, Decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to accelerate the development of tourism by introducing a special management procedure in the Bostanlyk region” and “On the creation of a free tourist and recreational zone Charvak”. The main emphasis in the design was placed on the preservation of the unique natural potential of Bostanlyk. In this regard, in the territories of Chorvok Darvozasi and Yusufkhona, an eco-framework, a sustainable system of public spaces and development of transport with low carbon footprint is planned. Particular attention was paid to traditional architecture. Thus, a modern image of a traditional mountain village will be created on the territory of “Chorvok Darvozasi: Zhanubiy Khodjikent”.
At the event, master plans and concepts for the development of two pilot territories as part of the Charvak TRZ: “Chorvok darvozasi: Zhanubiy Khodjikent” and Yusufkhona were presented. A consortium of the Novaya Zemlya design and consulting company (Russian Federation) and the ARC architectural bureau (Uzbekistan) and the State Unitary Enterprise of the ToshboshplanLITI Institute in terms of adapting master plans into detailed planning projects carried out the design of the development of these territories.
As part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the French Republic, as well as the Cooperation Program between France and Uzbekistan for 2018-2021 on the implementation of infrastructure projects, an agreement was reached on the implementation of the project for the construction of the international all-season resort Beldersay-Chimgan-Nanai.
Within the framework of the project, on the territory of the Chimgan mountain range, it is planned to build an all-season resort of an international level for 6 thousand tourist places. The project, in particular, provides for the construction of more than 20 types of entertainment, cable cars (gondola and chairlifts), various attractions (Zip line, Alpine coaster, Adventure tower, summer / winter Tubing) and 11 ski slopes with different levels of difficulty and with a total length 20 km.
There will be three stations on the territory of the tourist zone of Chimgan, the highest of which will be at an altitude of 3,309 m. This will be the highest point among the countries of Central Asia using a cable car. A consortium of French companies developed the master plan and economic model of the complex.
The French Treasury, foreign direct and local investments, finances the Beldersay-Chimgan-Nanay project. The total investment in the project will amount to 269 million US dollars.
According to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 559 dated September 17, 2020, the rights to land plots located on the territory of the IAC, gradually realized through the electronic trading platform "E-IJRO AUKSION", while investors implementing projects on the territory of this resort complex will receive participant status free tourist zone "Charvak".
