A business forum was held with the participation of representatives of the tourism sector of the People's Republic of China

On July 3, 2023, a business forum was held at the International Hotel in Tashkent with the participation of representatives of the tourism sector of the People's Republic of China. This forum was dedicated to promoting the tourism potential of Uzbekistan in China and strengthening business relations between representatives of the Uzbek-Chinese tourism industry. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of both the public and private sectors of Uzbekistan and China, including government officials, business leaders, as well as well-known Chinese travel bloggers and representatives of famous Chinese media such as ShaanXi media, television ZheJiang, radio and TV Chengdu.The forum was opened by the First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Azamov and Vice President of CSC Airlines Den Venyu.In his opening speech, Ulugbek Ahmadovich stressed the importance of the forum in promoting the tourism potential of Uzbekistan in China. Also in his speech, he noted the growth in the flow of foreign tourists to the country and the number of tourist infrastructure facilities.At the forum, the Director of the “National PR-Centre” Dilfuza Samandarova presented a presentation on the tourism potential of Uzbekistan. The presentation provided an opportunity for Chinese travel companies to learn more about the tourism prospects of our republic and explore partnership opportunities with Uzbek enterprises. Also, representatives from the Uzbek side called on all guests and tourism organizations to participate in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” TITF-2023, which will be held on November 15-17 this year. During the forum, presentations were made by representatives of various sectors of the Chinese tourism industry, including Zhejiang Loong Air, travel agencies and tour operators, including Sichuan Youth Travel Agency, Xi'an International Tourism Company, Shanxi Zhongxin Silk Road International Travel Agency and others.

Within the framework of the forum, B2B meetings were held between representatives of the Uzbek and Chinese sides, where the participants discussed the current state of the tourism industry, explored new opportunities for cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.

The forum ended with the ceremony of signing a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding between Uzbek and Chinese travel companies.

The Uzbek-Chinese tourism business forum has become an important step in the development of business relations between representatives of the two countries. The forum provided participants with a platform to explore new opportunities for collaboration and investment and highlighted the potential for joint ventures. This event will contribute to the growth and development of the Uzbek tourism industry, and strengthening the country's position in the global tourism market.
