Leading Chinese media outlets, including the "People's Daily" and "Beijing Youth Daily" newspapers, as well as the largest and most authoritative state news agency "Xinhua," have published articles about strengthening tourism cooperation with Uzbekistan. In particular, they report on the opening ceremony of the "Tourism Year of Uzbekistan in China" in Beijing and the China-Uzbekistan Tourism Investment Forum.

According to publications, the company Ctrip presented data according to which, as of November, the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan through its platform increased by 188% compared to last year. Tourists mainly arrived from economically developed regions of China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Guangdong, and Jiangsu. The characteristics of the main groups of travelers indicate a growing appeal of Uzbekistan among young people with high purchasing power. Over 80% of tourists visiting Uzbekistan were members of the platform's Platinum category and higher, with more than 65% preferring to stay in high-class hotels.

The articles also note that on December 1, Uzbekistan and China signed an agreement on mutual visa exemption for citizens of both countries. This step marks an important milestone in the development of bilateral relations and will open new opportunities for tourist exchanges and strengthening ties between the peoples of the two countries.
