St.Alexander Nevsky Church in Termez

Visit the Orthodox Church of Tashkent and Uzbekistan diocese of the Central Asian Metropolitan district of the Russian Orthodox Church, when you are in Termez.

This temple was originally built in 1902 for the 1st Turkestan rifle brigade stationed in Tashkent. It belonged to the 9th Turkestan rifle regiment of Saint Alex till 1910, and after that it was named after Saint Alexander Nevsky.

The church was made of burnt brick and had a large bell tower and an iconostasis.

Nowadays, the Church can be visited by its parishioners and the tourists.
