The delegation of Uzbekistan participated as a "partner country" in the annual meeting of the Global Tourism Forum, organized by the World Tourism Forum Institute in Brussels, Belgium.
The meeting was attended both in person and online by leaders of former and current tourism administrations from Greece, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Finland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, the UAE, the Maldives, and other countries, European Commissioners, members of the European Parliament, as well as representatives from several international organizations working in the tourism sector.
The Uzbek delegation presented the results of large-scale reforms in the tourism sector, including efforts to develop sustainable tourism. The exhibition was organized to promote the tourism potential of our country, and a number of videos were presented.
During the visit, a series of bilateral negotiations were held to discuss the prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of tourism.
