On May 13-15, the "First Coffee and Tea Festival" will be held on the Blue Domes Alley in Tashkent. The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Tashkent city Khokimiyat, the Barista Association of Uzbekistan and the Makon TV channel, organize the event.
The festival aims to create conditions for the development of the coffee and tea industry in the country, as well as to promote the revival of the national tradition of tea drinking.
Guests of the festival will be able to taste author's drinks and rare varieties of tea and coffee, and professionals will be able to study the novelties of the industry, find new partners and suppliers and even buy a franchise.
Within the framework of the festival, the Uzbek Coffee Cup barista championship, a competition in the art of drawing with milk foam, a mixology championship for bartenders will be held. As well as various workshops, seminars, and. of course, tastings. The events within the framework of the festival program will be of interest to both professionals and beginners. The latter will be able to try themselves as a barista, master latte art skills and learn to distinguish subtle shades of coffee taste at professional tasting - cupping.
Lotteries and sweepstakes will be held at the festival venues, craft fairs, food courts and play areas will work - everything for a full and interesting family holiday. DJs and stand-up comedians are expected to perform.
Seminars and lectures from professional baristas, tea masters and entrepreneurs are planned in the Coffee&Tea LAB area, as well as a round table on the prospects of a new, but already popular profession of barista.
The festival will end with a grand gala show
