ell-known Iranian athlete Reza Keita (2019 Vice-Champion of the Heroes' Games), international athletics expert Maqsud Esmoilzoda, and famous bloggers Mr. and Ms.
Gardeshgar are going to participate in the Second International Tournament "Games of Heroes", dedicated to the memory of Pakhlavon Mahmud, specializing in the promotion of tourist routes and services.
The upcoming tournament is committed to the memory of the son of the Uzbek people, Pahlavon Mahmud (1247-1326), who was an undefeated hero, a famous educator, philosopher and Sufi in the countries of Central Asia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan and India.
The tournament, which will be held on June 5-6 in Khiva, is aimed at popularizing a healthy lifestyle and expanding international cooperation in the development of sports tourism.
It should be noted that Iran's strongman Reza Keitasi is currently considered one of the main contenders for the upcoming international championships in Khiva.
Before leaving, the Iranian contestants sent a video message to the organizers and sports fans in Uzbekistan, in which they said:
- Dear friends in Uzbekistan! We are glad to say that soon we will visit the beautiful historical city of Khiva to participate in a popular tournament. We really missed the friendly Uzbek people.
Taking this opportunity, we would like to thank the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Iran and all the organizers of this wonderful tournament, which will enable athletes in this sport from all over the world to show their skills and confirm their high level in the international arena.
I would like to note that in our country Pahlavon Mahmud is widely known as Puryaye Vali. Many Iranian athletes, especially martial artists, greatly honor the personality of Pakhlavon Mahmud as their spiritual mentor.
