A delegation from Uzbekistan is participating in the Worldchefs Village international chefs' festival, held in the French city of Lyon.
At the stand organized as part of this major gastronomic event, Uzbekistan's tourism potential, national dishes, and culinary heritage are being showcased.
To increase the number of tourists from Europe, members of the Uzbek delegation are meeting with representatives from various gastronomic associations. In particular, negotiations were held with representatives of the World Association of Chefs Societes (Worldchefs), discussing issues related to expanding Uzbekistan's participation in culinary festivals and exhibitions, strengthening international cooperation in gastronomic tourism, and promoting Uzbekistan's national brand. The festival's guests also highly appreciated Uzbekistan's rich culture and hospitality, expressed interest in visiting the country, and recognized Uzbekistan as a promising destination for gastronomic tourism.
At the festival, guests were presented with pilaf prepared by Uzbek chefs. The dish generated great interest not only because of its taste but also due to the process of its preparation. Specifically, the art of cooking pilaf left a strong impression on the guests and was highly praised by many international gastronomic experts.
The Worldchefs Village international chefs' festival will run until January 27.
