From September 14 to October 6 of this year, our country for the first time will host the prestigious competition – the Futsal World Cup.
Today, August 6, a press conference for representatives of the media and the general public was held in the building of the Uzbekistan Football Association, dedicated to the preparation and holding of the World Cup at a high level.
The event was attended by representatives of the Tourism Committee and members of the Organizing Committee from the Uzbekistan Football Association. At the beginning of the press conference, a video presentation was presented, aimed at the wide promotion of the competition.
"As part of the first prestigious championship, which will be held in our country, we plan to effectively use this opportunity to promote tourism in Uzbekistan in the international arena. When creating the video, special attention was paid to ensuring that any foreign viewer had a primary idea of Uzbekistan. In a word, based on our national traditions, the futsal championship was combined with the tourism opportunities of our country," shared his opinion the responsible representative of the Tourism Committee Aziz Maksumov.
Delegations of athletes from 23 countries will arrive in our country as participants of the World Cup. In addition, hundreds of journalists and bloggers will come from five continents to directly cover the championship. Tens of thousands of fans are also expected to arrive to support their players.
Currently, all the cities where the matches will be held are reviewing the terms of service for tourists. In addition, such historical cities as Samarkand, Khiva, Kokand, Shakhrisabz and others are also ready to receive a flow of tourists.
