An episode of the popular culinary show “Chefs on Wheels” aired on Russia’s “Channel One” as part of efforts to promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, focusing on the country’s capital, Tashkent. The filming was carried out with the support of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation.
The feature was produced during a visit by the program’s creative team to Uzbekistan from 12 to 18 September 2025. During this period, the crew explored the historical, cultural, and gastronomic heritage of the capital. The main objective of the project was to promote Uzbekistan’s tourism appeal and increase interest among Russian audiences in traveling to the country.
Renowned Russian chefs Anton Ivnitsky and Eduard Pogosov visited key historical landmarks, including the Kukeldash Madrasah and the central square of the city. During the filming, they became acquainted with national cuisine and also took a hot air balloon flight, offering picturesque aerial views of the capital.
The program highlighted Tashkent’s modern tourist atmosphere and its rich gastronomic diversity. On one of the city’s most famous tourist streets, known as “Broadway,” the chefs prepared signature dishes using local ingredients, with tastings enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
Considering that the audience of “Chefs on Wheels” exceeds 18 million viewers, this episode became an effective tool for promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in the Russian market.
