Rishtan is located between Fergana and Kokand. The city is popular for its dishes and ceramics, covered with elegant ornaments and recognizable everywhere. Rishtan is the oldest center of ceramic art in Central Asia. The city also has a unique technology for making ceramic products. Local products are distinguished by their unique colors, patterns and shapes.
According to historical data, pottery in this city originated about one thousand years ago. The local Kuzagar ceramists are considered the descendants and guardians of the art of pottery of their ancestors.
