Turkic-speaking youth festival was held in Kokand

In order to increase the interest of young people in the history and national cultural heritage of our people, further strengthen cooperation in the field of tourism with the member states of the organization of Turkic states, increase the socio-economic activity of young people, widely involve them in the field of tourism, develop promising ideas and youth projects in the field of tourism and tourism sector, from 11 to 15 July this year, the International Festival of Turkic-speaking youth was held.

The festival has been held since July 29, 2022 in order to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to accelerate the development of cooperation in the field of tourism with Turkic-speaking countries".

The official opening ceremony of the event took place on July 11, at the Kokand University building in Kokand.

Interesting materials about the historical resorts and tourist centers of the Ferghana Valley were presented at a B2B meeting with the participation of media representatives, between employees of travel agencies and guides from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, members of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) and entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the festival, Reading Day, competitions in national and ethnic sports, cultural and entertainment events, round tables on business and crafts for young people, creative dialogues between famous theater and cinema figures with young people, meetings of festival participants with consuls of embassies were held.

In the festival, more than 70 young people from all Turkic-speaking countries took part in an international conference, competitions, projects and events, exchanged ideas, strengthening further cooperation and unity. The most active participants were awarded certificates and memorable gifts.

On the initiative of our President, it was decided to hold this festival among the youth of Turkic-speaking countries every two years.
