Today, on June 17, first large-scale "Uzbek Culture and Food Festival" started in London. This event takes place in the Potters Fields park on the banks of the Thames, next to the Tower Bridge, which is a symbol of London.
With an opening speech, this event was opened by the First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Ulugbek Azamov. The event was attended by ambassadors of different countries such as Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, as well as media not only from local, but also from foreign countries of the world.
The festival featured a variety of events showcasing the unique traditions and culinary delights of Uzbekistan that made it an unforgettable experience for all who visited it. One of the highlights of the festival was the preparation of a 1-ton Uzbek national pilaf by the famous chef Chustiy with the team of "Chef".
Also, within the framework of the festival, traditional Uzbek dance performances, live music from famous artists of Uzbekistan, such as the People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Gulsanam Mamazoitova, Bunyodbek Saidov, Dilmurod Otajonov, the Uzbek folk dance ensemble - "Bakhor", as well as exhibitions of crafts and a variety of delicious Uzbek dishes were presented. It is worth noting that visitors and distinguished guests highly appreciated the performances of our artists.
One of the most popular events at the festival was culinary demonstrations, where visitors could learn how to cook traditional Uzbek dishes from the best chefs in the country. These demonstrations were a great way for visitors to learn about the unique combination of flavors and spices that characterize Uzbek cuisine.
The festival is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Uzbekistan, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UK, together with Oshpaz, the Vatandoshlar public foundation, as well as the Uzbek diaspora in the UK, with the aim of getting to know Uzbek art, culture, traditions, and widely promoting national values, establishing strong diplomatic relations and developing foreign tourism.
