From July 16 to 19, 2025, the Tourism Committee, in collaboration with the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, held free online marketing courses for artisans and entrepreneurs.
The training aimed to support the development of the tourism industry by promoting national souvenir products on modern digital platforms and expanding the export potential of local producers. More than 100 representatives of small and medium-sized businesses actively involved in the tourism sector participated in the program.
During the course, participants learned branding skills for souvenirs and handmade products, how to work with online marketplaces (Uzum, Wildberries, Ozon, ZoodMall, eBay, Etsy), and gained knowledge on delivery, logistics, and online payments. Special attention was given to promoting tourism-related goods and souvenirs via social media and on international markets.
This initiative is an important step toward strengthening the tourism infrastructure and popularizing Uzbekistan’s unique cultural heritage, while also supporting local businesses and attracting international visitors.
