The American online travel guide Travel Lemming included Uzbekistan in the list of the 50 best travel destinations in the world in 2023 and our country was ranked 9th. This guide highlights new destinations and hidden gems around the world every year and is read by over 6 million travelers every year.
The article called Uzbekistan “the pearl of the Central Asian region and a must-see destination in 2023.” Also, the article tells about the historical cities of Uzbekistan such as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva. The author of the article focuses on the main attractions with an emphasis on visiting ancient cities, where you can see beautiful examples of the architecture of the Silk Road. For example: enjoy the sunset on Registan Square in Samarkand; buy dried fruits at the famous Chorsu bazaar; ride the subway in Tashkent.
Marty Sebova, one of the judges, commented: "An eye-opening, jaw-dropping destination - in a good way." Currently, Sebova intends to visit all countries of the world, she has already visited 193 countries, and maintains a blog called "Very Hungry Nomads".
