From September 14 to 15 this year, the “National Dishes of Central Asia” festival is being held in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, as part of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
The delegation of Uzbekistan included representatives of the Tourism Committee and the National PR-Centre, as well as a team of chefs led by Bahriddin Chusti. In addition to chefs from our country, chefs from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan take part in this festival.
In order to popularize the gastronomic tourism potential of our country, Uzbek national dishes such as pilaf and somsa were prepared as part of the festival, and various events were presented demonstrating the unique traditions and culinary delights of Uzbekistan, which made it unforgettable for everyone who visited it.
It is also worth noting that the main goal of the festival is to show the features of the national cuisine of the participating countries, to popularize the culinary art and traditions of the peoples of Central Asia, to introduce residents and guests of the city of Dushanbe to the national food culture of the peoples of the region.
